About Heather

Education:

My perspective:
Rather than label problems and work to make them go away as quickly and quietly as possible, let's invite them to join us in a space of safety and trust. We'll let them speak to us and show us why they are here in your life and what they have to contribute to your Self.

I am quite firmly LGBTQ and alt lifestyle friendly. I believe there are many ways of doing healthy intimate relationships between consenting adults.

Tools and Toys:
Different counselors favor different methods. Some of my favorites are taken from Depth work (dreams, archetypes, symbolism, metaphor, imagery, Soul talk), Feminist theory (where do you find your power? what is your relationship to culture and how does it impact you? unpacking stereotypes and assumptions), and Narrative therapy (depersonalizing personal challenges, re-telling the old stories).
